About Matt
I’m a Holistic Medicine practitioner based in Southampton, UK, offering Tui Na massage, Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, and supportive therapies like Moxa, Cupping, and Gua Sha.
Rooted in the wisdom of Daoist medicine, my treatments are tailored to support your unique journey—whether you’re dealing with chronic pain, digestive issues, stress, insomnia, or anything!
Guided by the principle of Kāng Dào (康道) – a natural path to contented wellbeing – I’m here to help you reconnect with balance and vitality.
What is Tui Na and Acupuncture?
In Chinese Medicine, the body’s energy – or Qi – flows through a network of pathways known as channels (or Meridians), often artistically described as Rivers of Qi. These channels exist as one ‘level’ of our physiology.
Different therapies are more effective at working different levels. Tui Na works directly with the Sinew channels. If the Meridians are Rivers, the Sinew channels are the Riverbeds. These are the muscular and fascial pathways that affect our movement, and structure. That’s why Tui Na is excellent at treating pain, tension, and Musculoskeletal problems.
Acupuncture, on the other hand, targets deeper channels. It involves the insertion of incredibly fine needles to influence the flow of information as it travels through your body. In this way acupuncture can support digestion, sleep, emotional balance, hormonal health, immunity, and much more.

What People Say
“Relief After Everything Else Failed”
I booked my first Tui-Na massage a couple of months ago in endeavour to find some relief for chronic shoulder pain which resulted in weakness and limited mobility. This was my first time trying holistic approach after everything else failed to make improvements. I was very impressed with Matt’s thorough first 90min session where full assessment was carried out. After a couple of weeks of regural visits I was convinced I found the right therapist. Matt is very knowledgeable and effective in addressing all the problems. The techniques are very person centred and adapted each session to bring relief. I also suffer with headaches/migraines which really disturb my everyday activities and they have improved too since starting therapy. I highly recommend Matt, can’t thank him enough and I am here to stay for a long time.

“Walking Without Constant Pain”
I’ve been treated by Matt several times now over the last months, I’ve always found him to be extremely polite and has helped me walk without constant pain, I would highly recommend seeing him, you will be impressed.

“Totally Rejuvenated!”
Since my 90 minute treatment last Monday I feel absolutely fantastic! Some tenderness lasted a couple of days which Matt had explained to expect. I suffer from back pain following a fracture of my spine and can honestly say my back feels fabulous now but not just my back I feel totally rejuvenated! Couldn’t recommend more highly! Thanks Matt.
